Hey all,

20 year old Accounting student (now in Practicum/Co-OP term). Basically, I realized that being an Accountant is boring and that I'd rather be traveling. Bought myself a ticket to the Philippines and will be volunteering there from September-October 2005. Then, off to Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand!!! Back to school and work in December... I guess.

I'll be meeting with up with Canadian buddies in Thailand but mostly doing it on my own so if anybody need some roommates (especially in Hong Kong... that place looks way out of my budget) let me know. I'll be doing most of my traveling from November-December 2005

Cheers,

Pascal

Hi Pascal,

Sorry for the delayed response, but welcome to TP! Accounting? Boring? Surely not ;) Who knows, maybe you'll get stuck in Cambodia doing the accounting for someone there! Stranger things have happeneed.

Peter

Hi Pascal!

Welcome to TP!

You are not the only one in accounting here. I'm sure you will meet James and areinstein at some point during your travels through the forums.

Enjoy your trip and volunteer work!

Hi Pascal...I am the other boring accountant in TP and I am also going to SE Asia in April for 3 weeks. I also feel I have to bring some action and adventure into my life hence adventure traveling seems to do the trick for me.

I will be able to give you more advice when I come back from my own trip. Welcome to TP!

It's good to know that I'm not the only Accountant here... I shouldn't bash it that much... it's really not that bad... Look forward to reading more about all your travel experiences and hopefully get some questions answered. If anybody needs any information about travel to Europe (mostly France and Spain) or Canada (Western) I’d be more than happy to help.

Cheers,

Pascal
