Hello everyone!

My name is Emily and I am a university student in Canada graduating this April! I have done some travelling in Europe, Mexico, and the USA, but never been to Australia! I'll be going on a work holiday first to Sydney and then thinking about Melbourne. Any advice from those who have done this already? A little nervous about finding accommodations at this point although from what I hear it's not extremely difficult to find roommates. Looking to travel around the east coast too if anyone shares similar plans!

Happy travels!

Hey!! :)

I'm looking to land in Oz mid August time. (Have the visa sorted, just need to save some money and book the flights) From what i've been told from talking to friends that have already been yo Oz is to do the travelling 1st, before heading into Sydney/Melbourne.

What im thinking is to start in Cairns and work my way down to Meblourne possibly on to Perth after...

It's best to have the 1st few nights accommodation prebooked cos u'll need an address to fill in the forms on the plane and to get over the jet lag. After that its pretty handy to walk into a hostel for a night and there'll always be people in the same boat looking to share the cost of an apt if ya plan on staying one place for a period of time. (Thats what i'm hoping anyway)
