:)Hi all :) I have always wanted to live the dream in California, i cannot seem to find any information on working in the USA. I know i need a sponsership as im 23. I always wanted to work in a small fashion boutique and just dont know where to start looking. Im also a qualified care assistant so i would be going out with a qualification to fall back on.

I am looking for any advice on living and working in America.

Hi Megan,

First of all, where are you from originally? Have you looked into obtaining some sort of visa? There are many internship opportunities available online that you could look into. The easiest, I think, would be to apply through a university. It's good that you are a qualified care assistant, but you'll need some paperwork if you want to find work in the US. Once you have legal documents, it should be easy to find work and a living situation. And you speak perfect English, so that'll be no trouble at all!

I havent started looking into visa's just yet, this will be my first experience travelling abroad, actually moving my live to the USA. All i have heard about is getting sponsership. I will do any work with a decent wage to ensure i can pay bills, rent etc. I will work in clothing stores, any retail shop, nursing homes etc, im not fussy. My dream is to work in Calabasas or Long Beach or places similar. I dream of making a living out there and and just living the American dream with my partner. I am young, and this whole thing is scary but i just want to live life to the full and make some amazing memories instead of wasting my life in Ireland, where the economy sucks and there is NO jobs what so ever, and a poor attitude towards living life to the full, I am a non drinker and non smoker and i feel all ireland bases itself around is alcohol and partying.

Then I suggest visiting California before moving your life there.

Unless you have the proper visa, it would not be legal for you to work in the States
