I'm usually too excited to fall asleep when I'm going somewhere and I feel I have to check everything twice so I don't forget anything.
I'm finally at the stage where everything's packed by the night before - except toothbrushes. If it's not in there, I don't need it anyway, or I can get it when I get to my destination. Business trips are the exception - sometimes.
head to a party the night before , go to the airport hyper and pass out on the plane,,....
i would have to agree with raven party all night get on the plane/ window seat/pillow thats it asleep before the plane takes off still asleep when the plane lands get woken up by the crew stagger off bleary eyed ready to start trying to find out where the hell you are
There are few advantages of early flights:
If I am going away for a long weekend, I can squeeze an extra day by taking the earlier flight going and taking the latest flight coming back (I do this all the time).
Like Joz said, no crying children.
I can take a nap for a couple of hours with makes up for the two hours of lack of sleep by getting up early.
No additional night to pay for at the hotel I am staying (why would I take a late flight if I would just get there to go to sleep??).
The chances of the flight running behind schedule are highly diminished when your flight is the first one to leave.
