Hello to all travel experts,
My wife and I are going on a cruise for 10 days to South pacific islands for the first time in May 8 - May18.
My wife is currently pregnant for 26 weeks now and both mother and baby are very healthy. (Will be around wk 30 when we depart)
We both love any leisure activities but I know we will have some restrictions on some activities due to pregnancy and we have passion to experience the whole islands but since we are on a cruise, we are only given 1 day on each of these islands. (More like a half day when you consider that you leave the boat around 9.30 am and have to come back by 4 - 5 pm)
Our itinerary is as below
Vanuatu (Port Vila then Mystery Island) --> New Caledonia (Lifou, Numea, Isle of pine)
After this trip, we won't be able to do any OE (Financial reasons) for a while when the baby is born, so we would like to maximize this trip and take any suggestions on things to do, best way to organise transport, places to visits and dine in while in the island.
I heard if you organise your own shore excursions then you will have to allow enough time to come back to avoid missing the boat due to any unexpected issues. (I.e. Taxi or bus doesn't turn up on time) So I guess I will only have enough time to visit 1 place and spend some quality time there or 2-3 short visits on different places. Not sure which is better option for us at this stage.
Any other suggestions on the cruise (P&O Pearl) such as any great shows you enjoyed, classes and facilities on the cruise.
Many thanks for your tips and advises and have a great day!!
