yeah, i think the Hostels are great for helping you find your feet really.
Definately gonna look for an apartment pretty quickly though. I havent properly looked at prices yet but they look pretty resonable at a glance. Once your working it'll be easier though.
Im headed out in septemeber. when you looking at going??
Looking at end of August beginning of September.
Have you got your visa sorted yet?
I still have the big decision to make like, I’m finding stuff out for both options, just I need to decide
Yeah you definitely want to research both options.
I book all my flights and visas etc at the end of the month (when I get paid) it's exciting
Ah yes, you said. Aye, I bet your well excited! Haha.
what sort of job will you be looking at, like a casual bar job or..?
Yeah, I've been working in bars in Manchester for the past 3 years almost so it's the easiest work for me to find. Doing my RSA course online then I can serve alcohol over in AUS.
What sort of work would you be looking for?? X
That’s the thing that is worrying us. I work as a conveyancing assistant in a solicitors, so ive never done any bar work before. People say that you can still get hired with no experience, but still a little worried. x
Yeah, a friend of mine went over there with no job training at all, like she came out of college and went. She got a bar job where they trained her up. I'd like to think they look at your personality more than experience. They must get loads of backpackers looking for jobs with no training.
They have admin jobs as well. X
Ah that’s made us feel a little bit better over it then.
Nah I don’t want to do a job like admin, I rather a relaxed/casual job just to get some dollar to get us by. x
Yeah. I suppose that's fair. Tips are epic aswell in most bar jobs
Haha, they will come in handy!
Im well excited talking about it all! ahhaa
