Just felt like wishing that to everybody and asking where you all were and what you all did on New Years Eve??
I was working at the local pub on the night of the celebrations this year or erm last year I should say. It was kinda good all the same - still managed to get fairly merry had a local pipe band play Aldelangsyne (correct the spelling if I am wrong) They played that at half ten tho' - bit strange but all weird and wonderful at the same time. We all then attempted to sing Aldelangsyne again at the stroke of midnight. I'd like to think it was all tuneful but not sure!! Had a good time singing it tho' and having a good little dance to the dj playing afterwards!! Before serving at the bar again (not so sober at this point) for an hour or so afterwards This year at the end will be different - celebrating the year of 2005 in South America before jetting off elsewhere afterwards Anyway - share all - what did everyone do?
Happy new year to you to Rach!!
Had a few friends over for dinner then went into the city (Melbourne) and watched the fireworks.. had a bit of a dud spot though - things were kind of obscured by some buildings. Last year (err.. 2 years ago ;-)) we were at Federation Square and everything seemed to be better at Queensbridge. So, that's where we went this time and of course now everything seemed much better at Fed Sq!!! arghh.. it's too hard to get right
Hey Rach! Happy New Year to you, too! And to everyone else at travellerspoint!
Well, this passed New Year's Eve I spent with some old friends I met in Germany at an english-speaking college. It was nice to see some old familiar faces, and meet some new ones . . .. We played some drinking games in the basement and went upstairs to ring in the New Year with the crew of people partying in the upstairs suite. Had a good ol' swig of champagne after the stroke of midnight, hugged strangers and non-strangers alike . . ... Some of the drunker people proceded to try to teach each other line dances . .. . What can I say, what a better way to ring in a new year than with some good ol' Bodenseehof buddies!
