I'm planning on heading to canada next year for a snowboard season (not working) and then hope to stay for the rest of the year around Vancouver and get a job. Does anyone know what the visa situation is for Brits ? I seem to get conflicting advice from the internet. I'm 29 and unfortunately uni was a fair while ago so can't get over on the student visa ! When I looked into the situation 18 months ago it seemed that you needed to have a job offer already on the table before getting the visa, but I've since been told that the visa is now similar to the aussie working holiday visa.
Hope someone can help.

Cheers
Matt.

Check out this page from Britain In Canada website. It's the British High Commission in Canada's website.

Thanks for the help Greg, but as far as I can tell that site is for Canadians wishing to get a visa for the UK. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Oops. Sorry - didn't read it closely enough, did I?

Department of Foreign Affairs lists programs for UK citizens coming to Canada, including a WHV which is available to people up to the age of 30 (inclusive), so apply now!

Thanks Greg. Looks like it shouldn't be a problem.
