Hi,

if you are going on an organised tour for 2 months thats costing roughly £1500 how much money would you take for the 2 months to eat,and survive on?

has anybody done an organised tour before, e.g exodus, kummuka, budget expeditions?

:)

What is included in your package? Do you get any meals at all? What countries or locations are you going to? I assume all lodging and transportation is covered?

I am going to cover a few things in US Dollars. Sorry about making you do the conversion, but what can you do.

For budget Central and South America, you can spend anywhere from $US 5 to $US 20 a day on food, depending on how nice you want the places you eat at to be, and depending on which country you are in.

Ditto on Greg...it all depends also on what countries you are visiting...Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil are pretty inexpensive. You can get by with $10 a day if you are on a budget. An organized tour will be obviously more expensive and you wont have the freedom to do what you want or go places at your leisure. Aside from petty theft, South America is pretty safe, I wouldnt be worried about being a part of a tour to be safe. You can find backpackers all over South America that you can hook up with along the way. Chile and Argentina are a bit more expensive (Chile being the most expensive country in South America). ;)
