Quoting Sander

(Makes it much easier to bring the total character count of my wiki edits down even further!) :D

haha, yeah mine's currently at -272,800 . I guess I do a lot of cleaning up.

And thanks -- I fixed that aeroflot bug too!

Huh, I just had a post gone missing here. Let's try again:

Another problem with "deleted"?? articles - My fix to the link caused "Washington D.C." (without comma, as opposed to "Washington, D.C.") to be restored from a redirect to an article with some 30k characters. I think I've now undone the damage, but might be good to check the history for large +char changes with "Fixed Broken Link" descriptions to make sure that hasn't happened more often.

I think that was just prior to my bugfix for the Russland one and related to it. My query wasn't excluding some stray articles in the database that were actually in Norwegian.

British Virgin Islands has two ref links which are correct, and shouldn't be showing up in the wiki_404.cfm page. Looks like a parsing error caused by the anchor reference within the URLs:
as wiki_404 shows them as:[/ref and[/ref

Just checked it and noticed one of Macau: the tourism website.
But when checking the article it gives another link, the correct one and not the one in the broken links page. The government website though IS broken but does not show...?

It's probably one of the links fixed between when Peter first put up the page, and when he made it auto-update on every edit. Sudmitting any edit to that Macau article (including one which is not making any changes) would cause the list to update and probably remove the link. (Looks like you did that, cause the only link I see listed for Macau now is - which works, but seems to be another case of hashes in URLs giving problems with the checker.)
