Hey, yeah I'm getting a working holiday visa which means you can work for up to 6 months on any small jobs like bar jobs, fruit picking etc. Looks like a good way to work while travelling :)

Not yet, looking to do it next week. I'm flying to Fiji first for about ten days then heading over to sydney around end of September to do 7 days with ozexperience (check it out it looks really good!)

You booked yours?

Is that the 1 you see all over the sites? 7 days for 799$, I'll probs do that aswell, when are you booking the oz experience? Could arrange the same dates?

Think I'm looking into a different 1, it's called ultimateoz

yeah that's what I meant haha I'm not good at this :p

At the minute I'm looking at 30th september but nothings booked yet. I can only put a deposit down until my new passport comes through because I'm getting a visa through them as well, but I reckon I'm putting a deposit down around next week time.

Add me on facebook em.jackson.5 it'll be easier to talk

@Emjackson thats great! i think the majority of those jobs will get you interacting with an interesting mix of people and you'll come back home with lots and lots of stories. and a bank account that hopefully wont be empty ;)

do you happen to know if anyone from anywhere can get that visa? thanks!

For those of you considering going with oz experience / ultimate oz / ..., see this thread for some opinions on the use of going through such an organization.

As for the visa: Definitely order that straight from the Australian Department of Immigration. Can't get cheaper, since that's the only official source. It's not available for everyone, but for people (up to age 30) from most EU countries and Canada, and a nearly identical "Work and Holiday Visa" (instead of "Working Holiday Visa") for people from the USA, some South American and some SE Asian countries.
