This thread is marked as being about Brazil

Well its time to start planning a honeymoon and we are really keen on taking some proper time in Brazil to learn salsa dancing like the natives! I don't just mean clubs where people go to dance but proper courses, hang outs, local dancing etc. More than likely we will begin our trip in salvador in november (weather depending??) (open for alternative suggestions) and would love to know if there is somewhere specific that you can suggest to have this great salsa experience holiday that we are dreaming of.

Thanks in advanced,

hey julia,

i think salsa is wrong, you wont find a lot in brasil. the dance to go is SAMBA . and the places you should look for are samba schools. there locals go but also ppl who want to learn the samba. the ones in rio are the most famous ones, but all brasil is dancing samba =)

have a great time !

Here in Recife you don't need to worry about this. You have a lot of clubs to dance Salsa, Merengue, tango, samba. Its not difficult to you find a school. Just pick one near to your hotel.

I hope this can help,
