ps, I have always made the lions share, and it has never been an issue. But this past year...with the situations reversed....I CAN'T STAND IT!!!!!!

Don't like being a "kept" woman???

We have had both situations at one time or another. It has never affected the way we dealt with each other. Each of us is proud of the other's accomplishments and that's it. Who makes more is as big of an issue as money in general. It just doesn't matter!

Mr. I here...

I wouldn't mind being a "kept" woman hiding in a man's body.
Besides, we cook equally well, vacuum equally well, clean the litter boxes equally well... Sure, Mrs. I looks better in a dress, but what the hell - sacrifices must be made.

..would love to quit his job in a couple of years and become Mr. Mom if kids ever come.

"would love to" and actually "doing" are two very different things. Just don't put money on it.

I understand how you feel (been there a few times), but you do take care of the family and have a bigger purpose in life. Not being a wage-earner, at this particular time, doesn't make you useless. Money should not be a measure of personal "worth" - even in our own heads. Not being a contributor to the bank account has allowed me to find (actually) more interesting outlets for contributing. Money comes and money goes, but you are what the people in your life need most.

Believe me...he has said it more than once. This is one of those issues married couples have...he dies to have a child, I dont. It hasnt become a problem yet cause he feels I will change my mind sooner or later. I am not 100% sure it will happen though...
