Obviously if somebody you've barely met online or talked to asks you marry them its a bit strange, but i honestly think that online is much stronger chances than randomly finding somebody in a bar when your both p1ssed[/quote]

Before I became a member of TP I would have snorted at something like this, but I have to agree wholeheartedly now.

I was dragged out clubbing this wknd....its not my scene anyway, i rarely go, and I'd forgotten how much I hate it. My friend was chatted up by and promptly disappeared with a guy so I was left to fend for myself as it were. I was chatted up my three different guys who were so hammered they would have chatted up a doorpost if they thought they'd get a response. I couldnt hear a thing any of them were saying to me anyway!

In the three months that I've been a member of TP I've been chatting to what seem to be some of the most bang-on guys I've ever "met". I've had tears streaming down my face laughing, I've had some pretty intense conversations, and felt intellectually stimulated almost every day by one or other of them.

I cant remember the last time I could say any of those things about some guy I met in a bar.

My dad met his wife on line and though they were happily married it did end due to not agreeing on which country they should base themselves, I also know many couples who met on line, the longest one is 9 nines year and they're on they're 3rd child.... .. ;)

I go along with the above comments completely. Same thing applies from the male point of view. Having someone drunk, drivelling, maybe even stinking of cigarettes in your face and leaning all over you. And the person thinks you want to buy them a drink and take them home?

But maybe she was bowled over by your Adonis-like features and got loaded because she was workig up the courage to go and talk to you all night. And you wont even buy the poor girl a drink after all that! dave.....

Don't you mean too-many-doners type features

I didn't want her getting too drunk and forgetting in the morning what a wonderful time she had had !!!!!

my experience usually is that people you meet online are often (but not always of course...TP company excluded!) funnier online than in person. Me included. Thats coz online we have the luxury of editing our responses.

I recently dated a guy who often texted me and sent me IMs. Somehow convinced himself we were soulmates, but really we didnt interact that much in person, and had very little in common.

Still no online proposals yet...unlike Wocca's 72
