I travel for more than a year and the map is getting just way too big. After about 6 months I am already at 191 stops (and I left out about 50%). Is it possible to copy parts of it to a new map or make a copy of the map and delete parts of it? It would really help to be able to split up a map in several parts. For big trips it is almost unusable. To load the whole trip and add new stops when you are in an underdeveloped country with a very slim innternet connection is just not working.
Also it is quite annoying that when I zoomed in at the newest entry and then add another one the map zooms out and goes to the very first map entry.
Right now the map connects entries just with a 'kind of' direct line. Is it possible to make it follow the roads (where possible)?
I hope there are some ways to do all this.
Hi Kapper, there's no way specifically to achieve the copy to another trip of your own, but there would be a roundabout way.
If you create a new account and go to view the trip on your kapperslog account, you will see an option there to "Copy to own" . So click on that to copy the trip to your other account. This is designed for people who are inspired by someone else's trip, etc. Then in that other account you will be able to edit the trip as needed, cutting it down and so on.
You can then log back in to your kapperslog account and go to your new account's trip page and copy the modified trip back to your kapperslog account.
It's not really what the system was designed to do, but it should work for you.
On your other points
- Following the roads is on our wish list also
- Will need to investigate the zooming issue. That sounds like an oversight.
