hi, i will be arriving Iguacu very late at night from Sao Paulo. I am wondering if there is still bus at around 1200 am and where is safer place to stay. What's the most economic way to go to the Iguacu fall? i will be flying out of Iguacu at 0610 am. Should I stay at the airport overnight or there is public transportation to the airport which leaves that early? Thanks!

Im not too sure what your problem is, maybe its me beng thick??

There are numerous taxi drivers wanting business at the bus station near lots of hotels on the road called Cordoba I think. If you are looking for accommodation then I stayed in a hostel run by an australian man near hotel nuevo, its coloured blue and yellow on the front.
To get to Cataratas Iguzu, the falls themselves then you can take a bus which takes about 25 mins from town, the bus station or either on the main road, they leave every 30 mimutes, and return bus` are every 30 mins too finishing at 7pm i think.

I hope some of this makes sense and helps

Tarik

there are two international hostels in Foz in Brazil, I highly reccomend you seek ou the one in the centre and stay away from the one nearest the airport, it is loaded full of tours esp. English which being english im allowed to say BLLLLEEEEUUUURRRGGGGH ;)

you'll have a blast it's really beautiful :)

hi, many thanks your reply.

are you talking about paudimar falls hostel? that's the only one listed on hostel.com. is it close to the bus station? hope it's within walking distance. thanks.

No, I'm pretty sure Paudimar is the one nearer the airport, the other one is new so it's not listed but it's really sweet, if when you get there you call the Paudimar, they'll tell you where the one in the centre is, it's within walking distance of most banks shops and restaurants and internet cafes., I was on my own that night and in that situation when Im new to a town I like to stay in the HI cos I know for sure it's probably safe (this doesn't ALWAYS apply though eh...) but there are plenty of other hostels around there :)
