Hello Everyone !
Im almost 90 days in and I want to stay longer.
At first I was considering just going to a border and cross and come back to get a new stamp (EU passport)
but than i thought that i could just go to home affairs and pay for an extension (wich is fair as South Africans have to pay in Europe all the time...)

Any one done this recently ?

Thank you !!

Hi,

The only experience I have had is with a German friend of mine who goes over the border and then re-enters! I really don;'t know what Home Affairs will do.....they have improved their services a lot I believe but can't say for sure what would happen....Hope this helps;)

HI again,

Just a thought - you would need to be out of the country for a little while before re-entering! I believe that Home Affairs do allow extensions for a fee (about 50 Euro)...
Good luck

Hi there

I recently assisted a French visitor to get another 90 days extension at Home Affairs in Pretoria. Straight forward process - no hassles.

Kind regards

Was he at the end of his 90 days ? meaning: do you have to do it 28 days before the end of your visa ?
Thank you
