Hello again travel friends,

I'm at the stage of our travel research where i'm trying to figure out how much money we'll need for the entire duration of our trip including transport costs and all the inbetweens.

We like to think of ourselves as budget travellers, and when we were in south east asia last on just over £20 a day and spent roughly £1,000 a month including transport costs.

Is this a budget that we can include for each of these places? I've looked into this online but of course the best way to find out is from those who have been there before...you guys!

If you have any previous experiences or info to give us more of an idea then that would be most welcomed :) We're hoping to have enough money saved to leave in March, so we'll arrive in India just before Holi Festival, so time is precious and we need to be saving big time.

Our current plan is to spend 10 weeks in India, 4 weeks in Nepal, 6 weeks in China and 8 weeks in Indonesia, so 7 months in total.

Any info would be most appreciated, so please drop a comment if you have any info!

Thanks in advance,

Avena & Brigham xx

Hey

you may increase your budget to approx 30 from 20.

Well in India again it depends you want a luxurious holiday or wanted to stay simple and travel across india..

Well you need to finalize the places you wanted to explore in each country and should reserve a maximum amount to be reserved for spending in each country, which will help you save some at the end of the journey.

Now do book your flight train tickets in advance or else be ready to shell out more money in terms of traveling.

Secondly finalize the route which you want to travel, which may help you again in budgeting your expenses.

Thirdly finalize the stay and the duration of stay which will again help you in curbing your expenses and you may end up saving a little more while you return.

Share your plan details for india & nepal, so that I can help you.

Here's a blog post - snip - on how much two people spent traveling through Nepal. On average, for 7 days, each person spent 9 pounds daily.

Hello,

I'm from China so I guess I might help a little with your budgets in China. Three meals a day + transportation + youth hostel for two people would be around 30 euros I believe and it's probably the cheapest.
