Hey I will be in Sydney in September and after ive done couple months of fruit picking (fingers crossed i find something) I will be back in Sydney December for xmas and new year, Ive been looking into things todo on xmas day, and wheres best to go for NY. ive not yet booked a hostel in Sydney for round this time where is everyone else planning to stay?

hope to hear back and would be great to get to know some people before I go as I am travelling alone.

You should have booked your hostel already. Sydney is the place to be Xmas and NYE and is EXPENSIVE, with rooms filling up very quickly.

I think Im going to be booking Nomads Westend soon, was just wondering where everyones planning to stay.

Chelsea you will struggle to get a hostel now... im now having to reconsider my plans coz everywhere is FULL!!!!!!!!

Hi Chelsea! I am literally in the same position as you. I am flying to Sydney in September and want to work/travel the east coast but want to be back in Sydney for NYE. Trying to book somewhere tonight for NYE x

I am actually planning to go to Australia and when I read this post, it seems that Australia would be expensive to travel on, rooms are easily becomes fully book. However, do you have any recommendation as to what month in a year is the best time to travel there and do you know some cheaper hotels that we can stay on when we get there?
We have a long year to plan as we will be going there by the next year with my brother and hopefully the whole family.
