Me and my boyfriend are travelling to NZ Nov 2014.
Does anyone know if escape rentals are any good? Or any rentals that have campervans you could recommend?
Also whats a must see and do?
Is £2,000 enough to live off for food, fuel and activites for 3 weeks?
3 weeks is a good amount of time to visit NZ. Have you decided to visit one main island or both?
If both I would recommend 1 week on the North Island and 2 weeks on the south island.
$1000NZD usually lasts a week for the 2 of us for food/fuel/ activities (does not incl accommodation) and we have never travelled by camper so i have no advice on that sorry.
must see's and do's
For 1 week on the North Island I would suggest- Auckland, Waiheke Island, Waitomo caves area, Rotorua (other options could be the bay of islands/northland region or the coromandel peninsula)
For 2 weeks on the south island I would suggest - Nelson, West coast towns, any of the Glaciers, Queens town, Milford sound, Wanaka, Christchurch/Akaroa.
Enjoy your Trip
I'm gonna be heading over to NZ in Sept 2014 on a working holiday visa for a year. I love the idea of a campervan and travelling both islands before I get settled in Auckland with a job.
If you need someone to share the cost etc then I would be game for that. I also have a driving license as well so could share the driving.
Anyway my FB/Twitter details are all on my profile
