Nah, people love the accent. Actually, I was only exaggerating; most Scottish I've met are perfectly understandable. There was one particular instance though in a Glasgow pub when two boys were telling us all sorts of stories we really couldn't make head nor tail out of. But I've since been told that the Glasgow accent can be particularly strong :)

I love accents though - actually, come to think of it, it's one of those things that you really miss out on in forums. I mean, can you imagine all the strange and wonderful accents of the various posters on here? When it's all typed out, it all becomes the same ..

Maybe we should add a voice recording feature so we can put an accent to the names! It's almost as important as a picture when it comes down to it!

Welcome again and if you have any questions about Oz, fire away - I know I'll do my best to answer :)

TP meet up in Melbourne.

As far as I am aware someone was trying to get a meet up organised and was taking a list of names who would be around Melbourne in September - although I have not heard anything for about a month. To be honest cant even remember who started the thread!

But dosen't it sound like a good idea - well the rest of the world is seems to be organising a get together so perhaps the southern hemisphere shoud jump on the bandwagon:)

It would be good to have a gathering. We have tried one in Melbourne before - this last January. Unfortunately only one other person turned up :) Even so, I'm always happy to give another one a go. If people are keen enough, it's bound to be a good time!!

I think that a TP meet up would be good and if you did organise one there would be at least two people there as me and my other half would show.
