I tried to create an Adsense account for my blog following the Adsense Guide on Travellerspoint.com, but Adsense refuses to use "www.travellerspoint.com". I got the following error message (in German) "Diese URL ist nicht für die Anmeldung bei AdSense verfügbar" which means as much as: "this URL is not available for signing in". Any ideas?

Furthermore there is no input field for the adsense ID on my profile page, even though I reached full membership. Any clues?

I'll +1 the first problem as I have it too...

My AdSense account is currently in limbo so I am not sure I can help. Do you both already have AdSense accounts or are you signing up new ones? Where do you receive the error message, specifically at what stage of the process? Can you provide a screenshot?

Thank you Kellie for your reply. I don´t have an Adsense account yet. When I try to create one and enter the URL I want to use Adsense with, I get following error message:

Hope it can help.

Thanks!

Thanks for that.

Unfortunately it looks like AdSense have begun limiting new accounts on domains. Try your blog's URL (nielsaroundtheglobe.travellerspoint.com). If that works you may be able to add the TP domain once your ID is created.

Unfortunately, Adsense doesn´t accept subdomains. :(

Hi Niels, do you have any other url you could enter to get past the initial stage? The interface once you are accepted into Adsense does seem a lot more flexible with letting you enter URLs.

yes... I finally managed to create an adsense account using another website and also added "http://www.travellerspoint.com/" in the "site management" settings.
What worries me though, is that when I edit my profile on travellerspoint.com, there is no input field where I can possibly enter my adsense idea.

Quoting Niels1303

What worries me though, is that when I edit my profile on travellerspoint.com, there is no input field where I can possibly enter my adsense idea.

It should be at the very bottom of this page, called "AdSense Publisher ID". Does that not show for you, or were you looking at your blog's settings? (AdSense also works for your wiki and photo contributions, hence it not being linked to the blog, but to your global profile.)
