Hey diana and gibbs,

I am also planning to travel to thailand in Feb 2014...my plan is to travel til singapore via train and then getting off at stations that i like..i am also a lone traveler and being a female have some hang ups..would love to have some company..let me know once you have finalized your plan.. :)

So you want to travel to Singapore from Thailand via Train? and would get off on the station you like? Is it all?

Why don't you visit Thailand completely by taking out some time, like Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi, Pattaya, Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Phangnon etc. Then you may head to Singapore via Train, do check for the visa of singapore, coz you might not get Visa on Arrival facility for Singapore as it is in Thailand.:)

Hi all, you look like you have similar plans to myself, I'll be going out to Thailand in October/November although I haven't booked as yet, trying to build the guts up, I find it scary the thought of not having my home comforts and friends, so I'd really love to meet up with others! I don't seem to of thought up a plan, whether to get an Australian visa aswell and move on there after Thailand/Asia which I plan to stay in for a couple of months atleast! Im 24 and I live in West Sussex so will be travelling from a London airport and heading straight to Bangkok! I've been Thailand before but only for a month and with others so it's a big step, was amazing though! If anyone would like to meet let me know :)

Hey Nadine

As I said earlier in my previous posts that Thailand is a friendly country with basic precautions which one need's to take in any other foreign country be it India, Australia, Thailand...etc

You may find a lot of people from West Sussex itself or places nearby in Thailand. I am not very sure if people access internet when they reach thailand since it would be an additional cost and free wifi are limited so they are unable to connect.

if you have been to Thai before than you need not worry and connect with the fellow travelers over here and plan it out at the same date and time and place. So that it would be easier to meet people at Bkk and you can continue to explore along with them...

I feel tagging with the other group is a viable option and you would feel safe and secure.

Hi everyone,
Im also planning on travelling to thailand at the end of october by myself, and then maybe onto oz or nepal in january.
Going by myself so also feeling a bit scared! Would be good to have some some buddies...
Are you all just going with the flow when you get there or has anyone thought about doing thai intro?

17. Posted by Nadine1989 (Budding Member 7 posts) 3y

Yeh I just can't decide what I want to do from Thailand, Nepal sounds amazing though, I hadn't even thought of there, so many places I'd love to see! Where you all flying from? I love to party and explore, people to share it with is what I want, talking to myself isn't as fun haha! Not sure what a Thai Intro is really? But going with it is what I'm doing and maybe if others have good ideas ill go with that too

Nepal looks amazing for some good scenery and exploring so im thinking thats a possibility...thai intro is a company that arrange your first week for you in a group so you get to meet people..a few people have said its not worth the money tho! Il be flying from heathrow or gatwick..havnt even booked my flight yet though and start making a bit of a plan!
Im also nervous about going alone so glad a few people are in the same boat!:)

Hi everyone

I am touching down early November and will be there until at least May 14 hoping to visit Cambodia & Vietnam too.
It's huge deciding to go alone so always good to kind of know people before arriving. Would be great to speak to as many fellow travellers as possible between now and Nov and hopefully meet some of you out there! :)

I have decided against the intro as I think the price is quite steep for what you get, plus Ive heard meeting people and doing things as a group is so easy whilst youre out there.
I fly from Heathrow-Hong Kong-Bangkok (landing early on 4th Nov) I will be there a couple of weeks before travelling south to the islands then on to Malaysia.
Im on facebook if anyone would like to talk more? :) x
