Hey guys, I'm planning to travel to Aus in the beggining of March/2014 and stay there for about a month and a half.
I'll begin in Sydney and then try to make my way up to reach Darwin (something along the lines of the Fish Hook route from OzExp, http://www.ozexperience.com/OzTravel_Packages/FISHHOOKEXSYD/Details)! Yeah, I know it's quite a short time and I won't get to see everything I want, but I'm confident it'll work. Initially, I'm thinking about booking a package tour from OzExperience or STA, though booking everything individually is also an option.
I'm a 23 yr old M brazilian and I'll be probably travelling alone, so I'm looking for 20-30 yr old like-minded people to travel with. Feel free to add me!
Sounds like you have a good idea of where you will go. To be honest I think a month and a half is a good amount of time to travel Sydney to Darwin. You will probably hit the main beach spots - and anything else you want to see. South of Darwin is meant to be really beautiful.
Tours are always a good option - I can not imagine doing the East Coast without finding yourself on [at least] a couple... Fraser Island, Whitsundays and so on.

Hey i will be out there then add me up on facebook can talk better on there as i only pop on here once in a blue moon
thats my link for facebook page x x
Thanks for the advice Donna! I don't think I'll hit the East Coast though, since the route is mainly composed of great beaches (which is something I usually love to see btw). But don't get me wrong, we have plenty of those here in Brazil, so it's really not a lot to write home about.
What I'd really like to see is the Outback, the Blue Mountains, the Great Ocean Road, Uluru, the australian unique scenery and wildlife, which is why I'm planning to go on the Sidney-Adelaide-Darwin route. The only issue I'm having with this plan is that I won't get to dive in the Great Barrier Reef unless I take a flight from Darwin to Cairns. I've done some research and I've found the airfares to be quite expensive for such a short flight. Do you think there's a way I can do all these things without spending a lot of money/time?
Hey Natasha, when will u be there and for how long are u planning on staying? Also, where will u be by march/april?
