I think you're aiming at driving costs?

France and Spain have Toll highways (although there are also free secondary roads) The Netherlands have very high petrol prices, You have to pay money to cross the Alps and Germany has no speedlimit. (good for fun and speed, but bad for petrol tank). Oh and those blöde germans have veeeery short enter, and exit roads (to the highway).

Last advice about Germany, Don't make the classical mistake to name "Ausfahrt" as the place where your car broke down, when you're on the phone asking for roadhelp.

I was just in the Netherlands and paid over 1.20 euros a liter for petrol. That's like 5/euros a gallon or $6.50/gallon!!! That's 3 times what we pay here in the US. And a few years ago it was only around $1.00/gallon some places. When I got home and checked my Visa bill the patrol station charges (to fill up) were more than the hotel room charges for the night. Just thought I'd vent about the high gas prices.
