Hi people,

if I will to go to Hawaii for about 6 days in April, beside Oahu, which other island should I visit?

Also, for 1 night or 2, I will actually need to stay in a very romantic hotel (if possible). Any recommendations?

Hilton Wio Kailua Village on the big Island of Hawaii is the most romantic resort! (I am biased;)) I'm not sure if I misspelled it though. The Arizona memorial is on Oahu. (very somber)
Enjoy your trip!! :)

Gotta agree with Joz. The Big Island is my favorite Island as well! But The Hilton is a little big. We called it, the Disneyland of Hawaii because of the tram! If you want to score points;) checkout the Kona Village! It's all-inclusive resort, no phones no nothing. If you can swing it..get the ocean front hale with the jaccuzi. The only drawback it's the cost. But hey, whats money right?!

Kaui is also very nice. Extremely green and wet. The most beautiful waterfalls are on Kaui. See Jurrasic park.

Good luck,

I was trying to decide between the fourseasons at the big island or the hilton village... the hilton village is cheaper but the fourseason looks much more impressive.. was wondering if it is worth the $$ though..

I stayed in both hotels you mention. All are great choices. The four seasons is a bit smaller, so a little more intimate. The only complaint I have with the 4 season, is the look. It looks like every 4 season I been to. Thats why I choose Kona village- more of hawaiian feel. Not to mention friday night is luau. The best one on the Big island. If your heart is set on the four seasons, try to get the room with the outside shower. AND too really top it off, the 4 season can arrange dinner on the beach. Very chic! The Hilton is a bigger, but has the best buffet on the island! If you choose the Hilton, get at least a partial ocean view. Golf/village view suck!

Wait a second....the Hilton on waikiki or the big island? If going to Hilton on oahu, request the rainbow or ali tower. Sorry, I was describing the one on the big island.

i was referring to the big island! Thanks for the advice... was thinking of mixing a bit. a couple of nights in hilton and maybe 2 in fourseasons...

will be spending most of my time on the big island though... 4 and only 2 for oahu... wondering if i should make it 3/3 instead...

:( will love to stay for a month.. but this arnt exactly a planned holiday and im really busy in April

4 and 2 is good choice. Oahu has far better shops and classy dining experiences. If you can streeeeeeeeech it, try 4 and 3. Although oahu has become touristy, a lot of hidden gems still remain. If you truly want the hawaiian feel, the big island is great choice. Since this your first time, you can't go wrong with either island.
If you need any help let me know.
Mahalo dude..

Roads are really good. In the Big island, it's impossible to get lost. It has one major freeway, that goes around the island. Do drive, you will see some interesting scenary. Pink, black, green sand beaches. Erupting volcanos. Too bad you couldn't go in Jan. You could have gone skiing! Same in oahu. Very modern, very urban. If I were you, don't rent a car. Parking and traffic can be rough. Not to mention parking is about 20usd and up! The trolleys and buses go everywhere. If you are planning, to cruise to North shore for the day, then rent a car. Driving in waikiki sucks!
