Is anyone prone to the odd "duvet day", where you are so tired that you just stay in bed and skip work? I don't mean you just don't go because you are feeling a bit lazy, i've had the odd one where i've had no or little sleep and feel like crap through lack of sleep so didn't fancy a 12 hour day at work.

I'm usually free most mornings so I can sleep for as long as I like

Yes, I'm prone to the odd duvet day, I admit. It depends on the job too. The job I'm in right now requires me to work to deadlines quite a lot, so it's much harder to take the occasional day where you just pull the covers back over your head. But I've worked in jobs where no-one would really care if you didnt show up, e.g. call centre jobs, your pay would just be docked but they'd get over the fact that you werent there.

Last summer we had two really fabulous sunny hot days here in Ireland (yes, two) so even though it was screamingly obvious, I called in sick. I spent the two days at the beach reading and drinking a few beers and watching the world go by. Okay, so my boss raised his eyebrows more than once at me when i went back to work but he got over it and the weather got steadily worse for the rest of the summer.

I didnt regret it.
