I have no fear of dying...only to not be able to see everything I want to see before dying.

"...However a healthy fear of death is quite a good way of staying alive!..."

Would this not also be referred to as basic survival instinct?

Or common sense.

I haven't dreamed about dying so far, but I have been flying so many times, usually with a flock of Wild Geese.
I suffer from vertigo big time, but once I left the ground (normally but jumping off a cliff or so) I am fine.
Oh, yeah, and it's all in colour.

I'll trade you my dying dreams for your flying dreams! Ohhhh, to be able to fly.

I do dream a lot about diving and without the need for equipment. I just swim along with the fish and whales and such. I love the sensation of being able to breath underwater.

I know this might be a morbid question, but has there ever been a thread about whether people are afraid of their death?

Why yes Steff, there has been one! :)

Thanks CC for always being so helpful, fancy some German chocolate;)?

What I've also noticed about my dreams is that I dream a lot more when I'm not sleeping at home.

German Chocolate? Ok, Reece is out! Steffbo is my new bestfriend!! :)

From what I have learned...we all dream...many time, every night! But usually only if your awakened during this REM sleep, do you remember your dreams. So many when your not sleeping at home, your not sleeping as deeply? So you are closer to awake (not the deep sleep) and are more able to remember your dreams.:)

Or every ONE ... past, present & future

IN DREAMS
The Big O

A candy-coloured clown they call the sandman
Tiptoes to my room every night
Just to sprinkle stardust and to whisper
"Go to sleep. Everything is all right."

I close my eyes, then I drift away
Into the magic night. I softly say
A silent prayer like dreamers do.
Then I fall asleep to dream my dreams of you.

In dreams I walk with you. in dreams I talk to you.
In dreams you're mine. all of the time we're together
In dreams, in dreams.

But just before the dawn, I awake and find you gone.
I can't help it, I can't help it, if I cry.
I remember that you said goodbye.

It's too bad that all these things,
Can only happen in my dreams
Only in dreams in beautiful dreams.

Do you dream in color? (most people don't)

I always dream in colour...I don't once remember dreaming in black and white.

I've died in my dreams. I dream in vivid color. I have looked down at my body in dreams. The only thing I wish I could do in dreams is fly - haven't done that one.

I've never died in my dreams...but I have flown! Both on things (fruit to be specific...don't ask) and by myself. It was fun! (well, the fruit-flying experience was just odd)

the most strange being sat along side a very good friend who was looking pregnant, when I told her of the dream and how it was, she revealed that she was pregnant. No way that I could of known.

K, this really doesn't compare to that...but I dreamed about seeing a spider last night, and one crawled on my leg when I was outside with some friends today. Coincidence....I think not!

You know, the falling dream where you wake up the milisecond before you hit the ground...

I hate those dreams! For some reason, I am always roller blading off of a really tall building.
