"There is more between Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than our science can dream of" (Loosely translated from Goethe's "Faust", from memory)

Do you believe in the possibility of the existance of supernatural beings (Spirits/Power animals/ghosts etc...).

I always read a lot, I couldn't live without books. But we are straying from the topic.

If you don't, then life becomes drab! If you don't have the magical it all you are left with is the mundane;)
Says the scientist :)

I am not so egotistical as to think that there isn't the possibility of unexplainable events/life forms/ghosts/whatever out there. Anything is possible.

Quoting Pardus

I am one of those people that needs tangible proof to believe in something or that something exists so I dont believe in things that cant be proven. My only experience with the "unknown" is feeling extremely certain of having a presence next to me in two ocassions.

My brother-in-law passed away awhile ago and I was at his house alone and I saw a figure walking behind me looking at me through a reflection on the kitchen window. When I turned around, it was gone. It was him. I remember seeing him very clearly.

The other instance was when I was in the kitchen preparing something. You know that feeling you get when someone walks up behind you and puts the face over your shoulder? Ok, that is what I felt. I heard someone say...smells good...I said, you have to wait or something like that. And then I asked another question and I got no answer. I turned around and I didnt see anyone. So I walked back to my room and my husband had been in the shower when this happened. There was no one else in the house...

If we exist - and we are truly just a physical form of energy - would the possibility of "spiritual" beings not also exist? Energy is energy in one state or another. When we cease to "exist" - our bodies cease to function - is that energy not released in some other form? Are our bodies the "glue" that holds that energy in place while we are still breathing? If so, what is to hold that energy in check once the glue is no longer effective? Why would our physical death extinguish the energy within? Doesn't hold with the theory of physics very well, does it?

Okay, my answer is yes. I believe in the possibility of the supernatural and our own ability to move beyond (even while breathing) the bounds of the "flesh". But, I also live with cats - who are not what the seem.

I believe there is a supernatural world. I believe in heaven and hell. I believe there are angels and demons. I believe in an absolute truth, that has existed from the beginning. I believe in Jesus.
