I could certainly live without it at home! It drives me nuts when the stupid TV is blaring in the background and everyones trying to compete with it. My Mum always watches her favourite Friday night chatshow but while it's on she wants to have a big chat to all the family about their week. She wont turn it off/down. Grrrr.....

I also hate it when there's a tv on in a pub (unless it's for a match - that's different). Theres nothing worse than when everyone's eyes keep straying up to the box in the corner....conversation tends to flag a lot or die altogether.

I agree! My TV is 'burnt' yesterday and the moment my brother had it sent to technician, I jumped in joy! Imaine everyday the moment you want to get into a perfect condition with ever-hardly-to-be-found mood to start a book-reading, then you'll find intense competition between homo-sapiens fighting to switch the channels over...sigh...then i just stand there and watch them 'debating' over various issue - human-rights over possessions, timing issue and many more! That's my family!

I don't have the TV on all the time, but I definitely would not want to live without it. I don't miss it when i'm in remote places in nature, but, at home, I think it's a pretty cool thing to have.

Yeah, same here. I usually watch sports and tv drama serials, when I have the time (which isn't very much). I can live without TV for a while, but not forever!

I would rather losing TV than computer...new era wouldn't survive without computer...it may even substitute TV in future!

I can easily live without TV programs now that there's no more new Seinfeld episodes. I stress the word "programs" because I wouldn't be able to live without the TV "set". I need it to watch movies. I rent a lot of DVDs.

This is my previous post saying my Tv is burnt days ago! After that, I and my brother drove to my dad's house to take another 'old' TV and guess what? The TV 'burnt' again!!! What is the hell going with those TVs? Do they hate me?

Maybe you should get an electrician to look at the wiring!
Incase it is something serious!
(messing with electricity scares me:( )

Yep! definitely could live with out it! We never ever had one in our house and i dont exactly miss it - you find so many other things to do rather than watch it, the only thing is when i do see it sometimes at mates houses etc you wish you had one!

Living without it encourages much more communication between ppl!

I agree to some extent but we can also have some 'same' TV topics to talk with if by chance.

Anything has pros and cons...anyway, I believe we could love without TV, that's the fact! (i am enjoying the life without the TV temporarily)
