Why do people more commonly skip breakfast than any other meal, considering this is the time when the stomach is emptiest?

I skip breakfast for medical reasons, or so I think.

I used to get sick in the morning and I fainted twice for no apparent reason, but I realised that it stopped when didn't have any breakfast. I usually have something small a good while after I am up, just to keep going until Lunchtime.

I believe for most is time constraints especially for those who have a whole family to get ready in the morning. Breakfast is supposedly the most important meal of the day so for me it is not one to skip. When I do, I dont perform as well in the morning.

i skip breakfast because i sleep in all the time and im always in a rush to catch the bus...;)

I used to miss breakfast all the time. These days though i have a bowl of cereal and orange juice to start the day off as i'm trying to live a healthier lifestyle, except after a night shift when i wake up about 2pm, just doesn't feel right having breakfast at that time for some reason.

I skipped breakfast if I have something mind-provoking questions poppoing up in my mind and couldn't find even a solution. Then i would go to bed (probably naked)for an hour and then take some exercise (like jumping or warming up) or taking a shower...then surprisingly, i would have my appetite again...strange huh?

I'm a bit of a nocturnal creature. I tend to eat late in the evening. The morningtime disagrees with me...and I usually skip breakfast, although I'm trying to get into a routine of having some cereal or eating some fruit. I'm always flying out the door to work in the mornings so i never leave time for breakfast. I need to get up earlier

Eating breakfast kickstarts your metabolism and helps your body to burn fuel more efficiently during the day. Also, if you eat breakfast you are less likely to snack during the day.....

normally have breakfast in work around ten, so i don't skip it just delay it a bit that way i have another few minutes sleep before leaving home...

I've been skipping breakfast lately because lunch is served from 11am onwards. I'd rather eat on an empty stomach than a full one

Breakfast, known as the most important meal of the day. Is it that important? I don't think so. You can skip breakfast and your mind will still function and you will still breathe, walk and talk. And no, that is not all. Think of the possibilities, open your mind. You could even read, write and have a very educational discussion. I didn't eat breakfast this morning, are you saying i'm not functioning?
