Travel Forums Travel Gear Suitcase or Backpack??

Hey!!
Im going on November the 26th to Australia and was wondering what is the best thing to travel with luggage wise? I was leaning more towards the backpack as you can put it on your back, although a suitcase would be handy to pull around!! Has anyone else thought about this?

I think it all depends on what you're doing once you get there. If your plan is to stay in one place, you'll be able to take a suitcase, unpack, and not worry about having to lug it around. If you plan on travelling around a good deal, however, you'll probably want to go the backpack route. It would be easier to move around with and not worry about having to haul a suitcase over any trickier landscapes.

I agree with wayfaring, and you haven't given us enough info about your own situation to judge and advise. If you value mobility and don't need to bring the kitchen sink, then go with the pack. If you're female and need to bring the fashion show with you, that's another story entirely.

Im female and thinking of going all over the place, so must be best if I took a backpack with me!

Definitely go the backpack route. :)

I hear 40L-50L is a good average size for us ladies, as long as you're relatively low maintenance.
