Hi

I have travelled Asia and Australia quite a lot, so fancy a change and fancy exploring South America. I know nothing about the continent, which countries are cheap, which are not as cheap, where the backpackers hang out etc and just want to know peoples opinions and experiences.

I would visit next summer holidays as I have 6 weeks off - I don't intend on attempting to see the whole of South America but would like to see one or two countries in depth.

I appreciate the World Cup is in Brazil next year therefore it may have altercations for travel here and surrounding countries. I do not intend to go to Brazil.

Any help, experiences advice etc appreciated.

Andy

Hi Andy!
I'm from Brazil, I have been in Buenos Aires (Argentina), make your base there, that's a nice place to know south america.
There have many place to know and for fun everyday. The city stay in a strategic place to meet other places. Argentina have ice and desert, that's a really nice country and is cheap.
The country is near to Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil.
Stay there, you'll like.

Felipe
