Hey there,

I'm heading to Oz in December and really want to visit the Whitsunday Islands.

1.What is the best way to visit the Islands on a budget? I've looked online and recently notice several comments about camping on the Whitsundays. Is this a popular and safe way to stay on the Whitsunday Islands?

2.I'm not a diver, but I'd love to learn here and dive in the Great Barrier. Are there options to do a one day diving course?

3. Would it be better to stay on Airlie Beach and just do a 1 day trip to the Whitsundays?

With my itinerary I have 3 days to spend around the Whitsundays/Airlie beach area. Any suggestions of the best way to visit the Islands & dive would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi there ! Whitsundays Island really is one great destination, I would suggest you try some sailing adventures like day trips on big boats. Anyways you can choose what can kind of sailing style suits you and don't miss out to enjoy your time while your there. :)

Hey! There's a site called koalaadventures.com where they do a 3 day stay package on whitsundays and include snorkelling at barrier reef. It's not too pricey at the moment, I think around 350 online or something like that (having a discount sale at the moment). A friend and I are doing it in a month's time so can let you know what it like, but sure take a look at the package nonetheless.
