Hi I want to go on hol to usa which ive done several times before
But this year I got a assult conviction in scotland
No one got hurt .I drove a car at someone but stopped
So I got done with assullt and got a fine
My first convicion and im 49 . Can I apply for a visa and am I
Likely to get one or not . Or does anyone know more

Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer, I don't work for US immigration or affiliated in anyway with the US Govt. This is just my opinion gathered from the web. To be 100% sure, go check with a lawyer.

From this webpage, a citizen of Great Britain (which I assume you are in Scotland, as you guys haven't become independent yet...), you don't need a visa, you need to fill out a ESTA.

Fill it out, tell the truth and see what happens, I doubt (again, my opinion) that for a small conviction (misdemeanor vs felony) that the would deny you spending your money in the US.
