Of course, you can do it if you like walking. How many kilometers you intend to do everyday? There are plains & mountainous roads on this route.

I can see a few hurdles though.... e.g. you may not get a place to stay at the end of a day, so plan your distance ahead of your start, especially when you are in ghats(mountainous region) or passing thru forests. Another problem you could face is of theft, loot, wild animals etc. It may not be very safe to travel alone.

If possible, find a travelling partner.

Are you going to write about it somewhere? Would love to read about your experience.
All the best. :)

Hey, thanks for reply .

Yeah I'm definitely walking as much as possible. But I hear what you're saying. And of course, I will certainly use your advice. The thought of walking this great distance and the experiences I will gain make it all worth trying.

Again thank you.

Hello again :)

Any other ideas on places to visit between these 2 destinations? I will go to most that have already been mentioned!

Lee, which guide book are you using?

I'm researching off the internet and getting advice from friends.

Lee, India has been a staple of backpacker culture for decades. It has been covered in great detail by many excellent guide books, any of which will answer most of your questions much more succinctly and accurately than any thread on a travel forum, especially when the forum (like this one) isn't geared towards India.

The mere fact that you posted here thinking that you might find someone who has walked from Delhi to Goa makes me wonder where you head is at and if you even comprehend your question. I'm not saying that to be cruel or demeaning, it's coming from an honest worry regarding your naivete and seemingly inability to actually get your head around what you are asking.

Do you honestly know what 2,000 km means? Have you ever walked any long distance before? Have you even visited a developing country, let alone India?

All the best to you and safe travels.
