Thanks for the reply!
I realise its a incredibly long distance. And I will be using train and buses. I just want to walk as much as possible. It's not a race, I don't have to break any records. I will take my time and plan it safely. Jeez I cant wait to see what people say when I ask for advice on travelling through China!
P.s Thanks for the train services, I will check them out.
Since you've now changed your original question completely and you're now open to rail/bus service then you'll find India to be a fabulous place to travel.
Their train system is one of the largest on the planet, transporting over 25,000,000 people every single day. It's a great way to get around, and very interesting too. Have a look here.
Bus travel is incredible too. Like the trains with their multiple classes the conditions vary wildly from "chicken buses" loaded to the gills with people hanging on any way possible, to first world air conditioned luxury liners. APSRTC (Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation) in India is the largest bus company in the world and it has hundreds of competitors all over the country. You have unlimited options to easily get off the beaten path and visit areas that rarely see a tourist.
All this is detailed in any decent guide book.
Thanks for that Terry, It has helped me loads it really has!!
Yeah, anyone can join!
