Hi guys!

I have 10 weeks until I arrive in Sydney ready for the new year, but it is starting to hit me! I have joked around about not having any plans, but I actually don't! Where/how/when do I find jobs, places to live? and what do I need to take?

I plan to work properly and earn my 2nd year visa so wondering about work clothes etc.

Help!!

Hey! The best bit of advice i can give you is to do your regional ASAP.

What kind of work are you looking for? Best thing to do is sign up with agencies and type in to google "jobs in Sydney" or which ever city you are in. They have a site called Seek which is pretty good but there are also a load more.

Good luck! :) x

Sorry, I totally overlooked your reply. I am happy to do anything! I have experience in teaching, horses/farmwork and au pairing so anything similar but I am quite a grafter so happy to do anything.

Thankyou!

Keep an eye on the listings in Gumtree for your area of interest.

Don't worry about work clothes, there are plenty of thrift stores you can pick up some second hand clothes and just junk them when you are done, better than lugging stuff around you will only use for a short term.

Accommodation in Australia is expensive. You could try:

As said, check with some work agencies ASAP, and see if you can line up a job. Be prepared to do anything to start with and you can find something better later.

Sydney of course has all the shops you will need for clothes and everything else so don't take too much.
