I'm flying into Sydney on Thursday and plan to go the "Big Day Out" concert festival. These are great if you like live bands. They have tons of these here in the US. i think the website is www.bigdayout.com.au

www.festivals.com

This site has info about festivals of all types around the world. It doesn't list all of them, though.

Oz has great bands all over. The festivals are rare (Big Day Out is the only one that I know of) but good local & national bands are easy to find. posters are everywhere for international bands so keep an eye out in the local free press at news stands.
