hi guys

been looking at youtube for trips on thailand and it seems like most people use the gro pro for capturing there journey, tihnk im going to purchase one soon.

has anyone got one of these and also what mount do use prefer for your travels ?

Absolutely false.

The GoPro is just about the most successful camera in history but it is not used by most travellers to capture their journey. Smartphones and Point & Shoots take the VAST majority of still travel photos and video.

That said, in the proper hands in certain circumstances the GoPro takes some amazing video and in the right situation its still shots are okay too.

Hi Lewis,

You should get in touch with ladiesofleisure. They normally include a GoPro clip in their blog entries.

I also think TdM Sud used a GoPro for this video of Australia.

ill take a look now, i love how they are just throwing around a 200 pound camera lol . Gopro = well built :)

Haha took me a while to realise you meant £ and not Lb!

They're made for thrashing around on dirt tracks and in the surf, so playing catch on the beach is probably the softest thing to do with one. ;)
