Hi,

Been travelling a while and right before I left some member included a load of spam in the Morocco article.

Just checked the travelguide for the first time since that 20th of November and noticed it and.....nobody checked things over there since then!!

To be honest I am bloody annoyed by that fact. What if some genuine member or other viewer looks at the Morocco article and sees it that way with just spam? No wonder people are stearing clear from the guide.

I know sometimes a few people check the guide as well, but it's been low profile for sure since a while.
Is that because of less importance of the guide due to falling stats/views or something?

Again: annoyed by it. Nice to see some changes in things like 'community' but in my opinion less important than actually keeping this website work on some other matters.

Michael.

I don't really go into the travel guide.

To be clear: it's not ment to specifically accuse someone or something.

It's just that I am still hoping members are checking or contributing to the guide, but it doesn't happen.
I see TP slipping away slowly at some levels.

But I will keep checking it, just not able on holidays, so it the spam sits there for 5 weeks. Now, if it's just an added link no problem, but the whole Morocco article was just spam for 5 weeks.

cheers

It's true, there's a bit of lack of activity in the guide. Not really sure what to do about this to be honest. We need some more keen members contributing in there. Even one or two would make a difference to that situation. Happy to take suggestions on some things we could do to boost activity there.

As it stands, most activity on the site is from people blogging / mapping trips and they aren't necessary inclined to join in the editing process.
