Just wondering, if you are buying an RTW ticket do you have to finish in the same destination from where you took off initially? i.e. if I leave from Dublin do I have to finish there.

Thanks,
E;)

I'm pretty sure you do. To be honest though, i've never known anyone not do a RTW and finish somewhere else. There are some tickets where you get a certain amount of miles you can use, so maybe if you run out of miles before you get home that might work. You can always get the ticket and not use the final leg if you don't want to come home. Probably still cheaper and gives you the option to come home still on the same ticket.

That's true.
Thanks Dave. I really must stop all this wondering and just ring the travel agents soon.

Just go for it and everything will fall into place nicely. I phoned this morning and got an open return to Bangkok for £411. I have until the 15th to take advantage so i'm tempted to go at the end of April. £411 for a direct flight is a very good deal.

That is a good deal! And youve got a couple of weeks to mull about it ....did you come to any sort of decision re the house by the way?

I've got it on the market with 2 Estate agents now for the same price as sole agency. Viewings have picked up in the last week (3) so i think i will go with the coming back in July if it hasn't sold option. It's a decent house in a nice area, just nobody has been looking. I'm confident it will not take too many viewings to sell, the problem is how long will it take to get a decent amount of viewings. Now easter is out the way i'm hoping buyers will be out in larger numbers. We'll see what happens. I might even be sat on the plane at the end of april with it sold and land in Thai with not a care in the world.

Best of luck Dave. I'm sure you'll see an increase in interest at this time of the year. ;)

I think it depends on the ticket. The Star Alliance RTW tickets say that you have to start and end in the same country, but not necessarily the same city.
