Also what's your plans once your out there. I don't have any plans yet.

I've been looking about at what other people do. And there is one thing
That I love the sound of. But I cant really do that as you need a group of you to do it.

I don't know tbh I'm kinda just gonna wing it hopefully meet people out there and just plan with them!

And I'm guessing so can't see why you can't just stay :) if I need a visa ill just get one while I'm out there or something :)

And ah what's that then?

Those dates are just so they'll have a rough idea of how many people to expect when. You are in no way or form bound to them; you have a full year from the day the visa gets issued to actually arrive in the country. (And the validity of the visa starts when you arrive, so that first time period doesn't go at the cost of anything.)

You must have a visa allowing you to work before you have any chance at all of getting hired (with the WHV really the only feasible working visa on short notice), and you must be outside of Australia when applying for a WHV. So be prepared for a quick hop back and forth to New Zealand if you really want to go through with that plan. (Not a big hardship, since New Zealand is gorgeous, and definitely worth a visit.)

I'm sure you wouldn't need a whv for cash in hand jobs?

You won't get cash in hand jobs. Australian immigration is extremely strict on this, and companies would risk huge fines, so just don't go there. (I'm sure there's exceptions, but would you be able to find them? And be willing to risk deportation and a ban from the country if caught?)
