:)I am a Servas traveler and have been around the world twice.
I am about to plan my next go around starting in the late months of this year, and plan to go for the entire year. Considering South America. Would love to go with someone who has a working knowledge
of Spanish. Rest of trip will include New Zealand and Australia, where I already have friends and family. I am open to ideas, flexible and can pay my own way.

Hi Sharli

Welcome aboard.

What's "a Servas traveler"?

Welcome Sharli!

I hadn't heard of Shervas Traveller's before either. You're a peacemaker! That's so wonderful! The world knows we need to spread the word.

Good luck with you travels.

Thanks , Anne. I've posted some of the information here for the benefit & convenience of any other interested TP'ers:

"...How would you like to travel and build peace at the same time? For over 50 years, US Servas travelers have been doing just that!

Servas is purposeful travel. Travelers and hosts are united by their desire to help build world peace, goodwill and mutual understanding by participating in visits with individuals and families of diverse cultures and backgrounds. During a typical visit, usually lasting two nights and three days, a traveler participates in the daily lives of their host: running errands, discussing social concerns, cooking a meal, visiting a school or lending a hand in a workplace..."

I love the whole traveling concept. I think it fits in pretty good with TP and most of its members...
