Hi Nikki:)

No, I stood there in shock for about a minute....and when he was gone I actually burst out crying. He really hurt me.

Its the only time I've ever been hit by anyone. Hopefully, the last! ALthough I probably deserve an occasional thump for being bold

It's okay - he and his mot must have been behind the door when God was giving out brains and good looks

The best way to get hit is to hit somebody.

Could it also be inferred that the best way to get shot is to carry a gun?

Or the best way to get stabbed is to carry a knife?

Or the best way to get bitten by a dog is to walk a dog? - This actually happened to my boyfriend... he had to get stitches and yes, it was his own dog that bit him. It was scared by another dog and when my bf went to stop his dog from attacking the other dog my bf ended up being in the middle and was bitten!

A guy once hit my across the head because I banged into his girlfriend. The bar was packed and of course I had had one too many. I tripped and bumped into her. I said i was sorry and the next thing her big brute of a fella gave me a really hard slap. I wont tell you all what he called me.

I think that was the only time in my life I experienced a real sense of shock.

A guy once hit you??? What a piece of rubbish this "man" must have been. I can't ever imagine hitting anyone in that situation, least of all a female.

Hopefully afterwards he stumbled outside and got hit by a bus.

Men’s violence is believed to be a product of the ways in which men have been taught to be men. Men’s violence is the product of society and history, not biology. Boys are not born violent, but they are born into a society that says being male is about being aggressive, tough and in control. Think of such role models as Rambo and Terminator. Boys are rewarded for being strong and unemotional, told that "boys don’t cry" ...

Violence harms its victim, but it also degrades the perpetrator. A person who chooses to be nonviolent gains self-respect, self-esteem, and the trust and respect of others
