Travelling to Sydney at the start of October alone which is pretty scary! So just trying to find a few people to meet up with or something, what's everyone else's plans?? I'm thinking of doing ultimate oz for the first week then hopefully find a group to go up the east coast with? If anyone is doing the same please help!! I'm thinking of staying 12 months with a working holiday visa so do want to work at some point

Hi Amy,

Im also going to be traveling to aus on my own on a WHV, I will be landing in sydney the end of september and then doing the Oz intro for the first week and then no plans after that. i was thinking of possibly trying to get a job and getting that out of the way so i can qualify for my 2nd year WHV and also get a bit of extra money and meet new people.
I would like to get a few people together and possibly get a camper van and travel the east coast and just see what happens and where i end up.

Have you done much planning for your trip or are yuo just going to see what happens when you get there like me

Jodi :-)

Heyyyy its a little scary thinking about it isn't it hahha! I'm wanting to do the rural work too to get my 2 year visa! I'm thinking of going sept/October, is it ultimate oz your doing? I'm really wanting to do the campervan which will be a cheaper way than getting a travel pass! I've heard that you have to be 21 to be abler to hire one though and I'm only 19 ao ill have to have other options in mind as well.

I'm thinking of taking as much money as I can and just see where I end up, feel like I need something exciting to do as I'm really bored with the 9-7 job! Will really have to meet up when over there, have you got Facebook or twitter you can send me a message on your plans If your doing the ultimate oz.
Amy x

Hey :-)

yeh it is def scary and try not to think about it to much but im sure it will be fine when you get out there and will wonder what you was so scared about :-).
there is ultimate oz and oz intro and i think oz intro is cheaper so ovs im going for the cheaper option lol are you looking at doing a starter tour when you get to aus?
yeh that was my thinking really, well thankfully i shouldnt have a problem with that as im 25 so fingers crossed i will be able to do the camper van and then just take it in turns driving with who ever comes with. Although I think possibly buying a campervan when im out there would probably be better as in the long run it will be cheaper than renting and can sell it after you are done with it and hopfully get some money back from it.

yeh thats kind of what i was thinking. Im working 3 jobs at the moment so will hopefully have a decent amount to take with me as long as im sensible with it. I can understand you being bored with a 9-7 job its never much fun lol

yeh would def love to to meet up in aus, feel free to add me on FB my name is Jodi Stephens :-D
