Hi Pete, Sam and Sander!
Today, I am having a problem staying logged in. I type my username and password, check the remember me box and I log-in. If I attempt to post or even just go from viewing one thread to viewing another, it shows that I am no longer logged in and have to do it again. That is, each thing I do requires logging in again and again.
I am thinking that it may be caused by Kris (Mr Isa) and I being on at the same time but on different computers. We haven't had a problem before with both of us on at the same time and not being remembered by the system. No matter how often we come and go througout the day (and it's been often that we're on simultaneously but not always), I am logged in with each visit.
No big thing - I just keep logging in. But, was wondering if we were creating the problem. Hope you understand what I am trying to describe...
Never mind - problem seems to have corrected itself.
Hmm, how very strange. Hopefully it doesn't happen again!!
I'm wondering if your browser is set so as to not accept cookies.
No, my browser is set to accept cookies and I haven't emptied the "cookie jar" (so to speak) in awhile. Maybe that has something to do with - time to clean it out.
Anyway, thanks for the replies Pete and James. It hasn't happened any days after my posting. Keeping my fingers crossed it was just a glitch.
If I remember correctly, cookies are all set to expire in a certain period of time anyway; either at the conclusion of your current session or at a later time.
The cookies will only expire 10 days after the last visit. I don't remember missing the Isas for a ten day period
Even so, it sounds like it was asking for the login information on every new page request, so something was definitely very wrong.
Fingers crossed it just doesn't happen again. There's a lot of comfort in denial.
Actually, I wouldn't mind a cookie or two; I'm starving !
Particularly one of these ones that lasts ten days
