Salzburg is perhaps the most touristy of Austria's cities, and not without reason. The old inner city is beautiful, the views from the fortress overlooking the old city are stunning. Music lovers come to see the birthplace of Mozart, and other come to see the set of the Sound of Music.

It was difficult to find. Parking was very restricted. The room was fine, but the en suite facilities were noisy. Breakfast was very basic, no kitchen so therefore no boiled eggs, no breadrolls. We were very pleased with the accommodation. The views from the house were lovely (especially in the snow). The accommodation was clean and comfortable. It was a 10 minute walk to the railway station and 15 minutes to the bus stop, so we were well placed for Salzburg. ... more
