San Gimignano isn't the easiest place to find in Tuscany but the driving in this part of Italy is almost always a pleasure. And San Gimignano is worth the effort. As with many other similar Italian towns, it's best to park outside and walk in, heading through the old streets towards the centre and the square.

We stayed 5 nights at Casa Aladina, in a room with bathroom included. Really comfortable and nice. And very clean as well. Carla, the owner is a very kind person, always willing to help the guests. She gave us lots of tips about places to visit. We even left there a battery charger and was she who told us it, and sent it back. ... more

The room and facilities were very good for the price, as are the position and space. However, we stayed for 5 blissful nights without having any room service. Set as it is in a most beautiful ancient hill town in Tuscany, San Gimignano is a wonderful place to stay. ... more
