Paramaribo

Paramaribo is the capital and the largest city in Suriname. It is located at the central coastal area in the north, on the banks of the Suriname River. The city has a population of roughly 250,000 people, which is over half of the total Suriname population. The historic inner city of Paramaribo became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002.

    Yeah I think I'll end up going to Boa Vista in Brazil and then up through Brazil to Venezuela. Although I'll find out soon enough as I'm going to Guyana from Suriname tomorrow. It looks like the only bus that goes from Paramaribo, Suriname to the border with Guyana leaves Paramaribo at 4 or 5 am ...
